How To Reduce Blood Pressure?

my bp is very high i am taking my meds it goes down a couple hours and goes right back up my dr. has tried me on several different meds they dont seem to work i am not a smoker but i am over weight i hear my heart beat in my ears and my face and ears get very hot to touch

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient hypertension is a multifactorial disease and requires life style adjustments along with medicines to control it. You should get your blood urea and creatinine done to rule out renal involvement as in this case routine drugs to control BP do not work. Also you need to be put on a combination of drugs, one of them should be a diuretic. As you are overweight the doses of the drugs have to be adjusted as per your weight as traditional doses are for a 50 kg man. You should take diet low in salt, avoid foods rich in salt like Chinese food, pickles,packed foods etc and eat lots of fruits,salads and vegetables with an aim to loose weight, as weight loss will help to control BP. Also you require cardio fitness workouts, the most suitable for you would be walking. Regards
