How To Reduce Back Pain?

Good morning sir ,my father age is 65 years they have the back pain from last three to four days .doctor advice for the health check up so the report is like that 1. cholesterol level was 257.04 mg/dl. 2.HYDROXY VITAMIN D, SERUM IS 10.44 ng/mL So sir my question is that is it that reports are normal and another question is that how to get the relief from the back pain ?

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. During periods of acute pain, rest is important. He needs to take rest and if its lower back, he can use lumbar support device.
2. Once his pain reduces, if X-ray is normal, he will need to start physiotherapy and back exercises to strengthen muscles. Posture is also very important. If overweight, weight reduction is essential. He can take calcium supplements.
3. cholesterol is high. Need to cut down on bad fat and increase good fat in diet. Weight reduction and medication is essential. Statins can be taken.
