How To Reduce AST ALT Levels?

Hi, I just a question about AST ALT? I have 119 and 60! My age is 34 and my last ultra sound showed non fatty liver! Should be said, I do drink abit! Sometimes 3-4 in a day maybe 2-3 days a week! Is this a major concern? And how long long does it take to reduce! I m now drinking less and taking Milkthisle and Turmeric/curcumin supplements!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Elevated levels of AST and ALT is indicative of toxic liver damage caused due to consumption of alcohol.
Since you are habituated for consuming alcohol, it is essential that you should stop consuming it completely so as to prevent any further damage to the liver and its complications.
Also, you can supplement orally with lipotrophic factor medications like Choline, Betaine, Inositol and antioxidant medications like Vitamin E and Selenium to keep the liver tissue healthy.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
