How To Recover From Myocardial Infarction?

Hi, I had a myocardial infarction in July 2010 and have been on Ramipril, Bisoprolol, Clopidigrel, Asprin, Atorvistatin since then. I feel quite unwell most of the time (chest tightning, choking feeling, headaches, muscle pain) My GP suggested I take 2 weeks off ramipril as a trial. If this is not successful he will try the beta blocker. How important are these drugs and can I afford to do without them.

I have read the medical details provided by you and i completely understand your concern.The symptoms that you are telling you are experiencing are not a good sign. I would like to suggest you that after having an Myocardial Infarction its not advisable to play with your medicines like this. So its better for you to consult a cardiologist personally and have his opinion. Every medicine has its own importance.

Being a cardiology practitioner i would first of all like to perform an Echocardiography and your vitals check on you to see the functional status of your heart and then decide your medications accordingly.
You probably need an ANGIOGRAM to see the status of your coronary blockage.
