Pediatrician 's  Response
Brief answer:
Its a habitual thing.

Detailed answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM.
Putting of hands in mouth or thumb sucking is a habitual thing. It is not a disease. Child should be regularly counselled by explaining the disease that he may catch by putting finger in mouth.
Typhoid also can occur if repeated episodes of fingers in mouth are present as infection from nails can occur.
Don't be angry with the child it will have negative impact of child.
I hope this has helped you. Take care.
