How To Prepare An Elderly Female For Loss Of Breast Post Surgery?

My mother is 93 years old. She is diagnosed with breast cancer. I was hoping to have a second opinion before her masectomy. There is an article on Anasthesia fry elderly brain. My mother has not experienced surgery and anasthesia before. She is quite traumatized about losing her right breast.

Please advise.

Hello dear. I appreciate your concern. At this age if she is fragile, surgery will be difficult. Moreover she requires a psycho social support from psychologist as well as support from anesthesiologist. Please visit psychologist and anesthesiologist prior to surgery.
Thanks
