How To Overcome Heaviness In The Head?

Hi, my Dad had been having this heaviness in his head for a while now. Few years ago, he had a blackout that he fell and hit his head and since then he had had this issue. He was diagnosed with high blood pressure and was taking the meds and watching his diet but every time he eats something, he said that his head feels heavy and he just cant do anything but sit or lay down. Please advise as Doctors in my country is unable to provide us a clear explanation to this condition and whether this is a possible remedy for it.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have heaviness in the head . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , tumor , high blood pressure , migraine or TMJ problem . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI , blood test , check vitals and take history . Doctor may prescribe diuretics like frusamide , vasograine or may refer you to ENT specialist for sinusitis and ear problem or to oral surgeon for TMJ problem . For now eat soft food , drink plenty of water and lower your salt consumption .
