How To Overcome Anxiety?

Hi I am a 48 yr old femalel, 5'6", 117 pounds - i'm in excellent health - i have a resting heart rate of 47-50. Due to many family matters (i.e. illnesses, caring for family members, etc.) I have been suffering from anxiety for the past several months - unable to sleep, panic attacks, etc. I am hesitant to share this with my doctor - I have previously taken xanax (one half of the smallest dose), but am afraid to now because of my low heart rate and blood pressure (approx. 100/80) - i exercise almost daily - is there anything else i can take for anxiety?

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

I think, you have generalized anxiety disorder and in that case, you need antidepressant like paroxetine or escitalopram. You can consult a psychiatrist for proper management. In psychotherapy, you can try some relaxation exercise that would keep you calm and relax. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
