How To Overcome After Effects Of Antibiotics?

Two years ago, my daughter contacted H1N1. She recovered from it. However, now she is battling with the after affects of the antibiotics. They have taken a toll on her body. She has done a lot of research. Is there a diet that will assist in helping her get her health back. She has no energy! Every thing thatshe has read suggest that she needs to clease her body. No salt, sugar, white rice/bread, fruit, and no red meat. Now, she is comtemplating not returning to college this semester because she has no energy. This will jeopardize her full-ride scholarship. She also has neurocardiogenic syncope. Please help!

Hello,

It sounds like the viral infection has really depleted your daughter physically. A diet high in protein is essential. Nuts, beans, white meat and fish are very helpful. These have some anti-inflammatory properties to them to assist in repair of damaged tissues. Also, the green leafy vegetables have anti-oxidants which are helpful and should be added to her diet.

I am also a bid proponent of probiotics, such as yogurt and even OTC oral probiotics as these assist in restoring the natural bacterial balance in the body and help to regulate the body's functioning. These are a few of the suggestions I would recommend.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
