How To Lower High Glucose Level?

Hi. I was in the ER in April for headache and my glucose level was around 140. The doc didn t discuss this and my headache was ruled stress related. I did a reading on June 1st and I was told that it was high. I did one today and it was 265. I had eaten 1 chicken kyrstal, like 10 fries and took 3 sips of coke maybe 3 hrs b4 I did the reading. The only other thing I had was a ice cream cone earlier maybe around 2 pm. Would you say I have diabetes or need to get tested again before that dx is given? Also do you feel that apple cider vinegar can help decrease levels?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you to for your question.
It is very likely that you have diabetes. We usually consider any measurement over 200 as diagnostic for diabetes. You need to be see by a doctor and placed on a strict low carbohydrate diet and probably medications. The complications of untreated diabetes are severe so please see a doctor for treatment as soon as possible
Regards
