How To Keep Blood Sugar Level Under Control?

Dear Doctor, earlier I was on Glycomet SR 500 mg once daily and my sugar levels were under control.... FBS was less than 130 and PP less than 180. Now i have been put into the same medication twice daily- after lunch and after dinner. But the sugar levels now are...FBS 125 and PP 280. I am tensed with the results. What to do.?

Hello,
Thete is nothing to get tensed about it because as the diabetes progresses, the medicines tend to get less efficacious and hence there is need to take additional anti diabetic medicines from different class.
You can consult your doctor and get the revised prescription and take medicines fom classes like Sulfonylureas or GLIPTINS Etc.
Do observe proper dietary restrictions and do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day.
Thanks.
