How to increase weight with white spots on the face?

Hi Doctor, I am from Bangalore. My 6 yrs old daughter is not gaining weight and got white spots on her face (which are usually due to deficiency of calcium). She has good height but seems that now a days whatever she eats, it does not improve her health. Seems that she has worms in stomach. She also grind teetth while sleeping. Could you please suggest some good medicine.

Hi, welcome to HCM.
I see many similar cases in my clinic everyday. Since, your child has low weight and grind teeth at night there are chances of worms infestation. Also, her appetite is poor.
You should give deworming syrup like bandy plus 10 ml at night before sleep. Secondly, start Syrup Bevon 5 ml two times a day for 1 month.
You need to do some investigations like CBC, calcium and phosphate levels, stool routine microscopy test. Depending on above reports we will decide whether an iron syrup is also required or not.
I hope this has helped you. Take care. Regards - Dr Deepak Patel, MD Pediatrics
