How To Increase Baby Weight?

My premature baby was born in 34 weeks on Sep ‘13 and she has completed 3 1/2 months now. My baby is not sucking enough milk at a time instead she is sucking just 2 minutes every 1 hr. Also, my baby sleeps only 6 to 8 hrs per day. My wife is working women. Also her milk production is gradually reducing and she feels much tried. My wife sleeps only 4 hrs per day. We have consulted with doctor and they have recommended NON PRO 1 on 26th Dec. We started to give NON PRO 1 but baby not at all like this powder. We tried bottles, spoon, paladai but baby is vomiting. Baby born weight was 1.5 KG and current weight is 3.5 kg. please please please please help us to care my baby.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Preterm baby's stomach capacity is less and bring out some milk after each feed and is quite normal.
She has put up 2 kg weight already.
Give small feeds more frequently, better give feeds with a dropper If NANpro is not tolerated You may change to different formula.
She needs 150 ml/kg body weight within 24 hours.
First you start with the present weight and gradually increase day by day for the expected weight at that age (5 kg).
Once the baby starts taking feeds she will sleep normally
As weight increases brain development follows.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
