How To Heal An Itchy Feet?

when I get ready to lay down for the night my feet start to itch, it feels like they itch from the inside and they both start to itch at the same time. I have to put them in scalding hot water or sit on them until the itch stops and my feet start to go numb. What is it and what can I do?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Itching on the feet while going to sleep may be due to dry skin. The woollen clothes on the bed might exacerbate the itching. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Investigations may be done to rule out internal diseases like diabetes and thyroid dysfunction. Tab cetirizine may improve the condition. Apply calamine lotion on the feet. Avoid soap bath. Keep away from woollen clothes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
