Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

To get relieve from shooting pain she can take Naproxen, Ketoprofen, Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen under the consultation of the PCP. Pain relieving sprays can also be used if required. She can take it either orally or via, IV Injections.

Psychiatric PT is suggested when the patient cannot endure the pain and its the pain management department that can take care better. She can get relieve if she gets under Psychiatrist PT.

Take care.

Hiya, I fell off my bike last week, slipped on a railway track and slammed my shin bone on the track, got up and carried on although in much pain. When I got to work my shin had swelled up quite large and bruising was immediate. I had it dressed and put a compression bandage on and carried on. five days later it is still slightly swollen and bruising is right down to my ankle and all around and I bumped it today which was extremely painful. I am biking and walking on it but take panadols to manage and it still hurts, although I am very careful how I walk with it to minimise the pain. what do you think, could it be cracked?

About three weeks ago I had a nasty fall in which I landed on the back of my neck and the weight of the rest of my body came down on top of me. St the time I heard a horribling cracking sound and has a burning sensation. It was able to get up and move around but my neck felt weird. Later that evening my neck felt stiff- was visibly swollen. Had pin and needle in my little finger and shooting pains in my arm. Had limited movement for a week but has got nearly full movement back now. But it still hurts especially at night, nipping and burning sensation. Pins and needles sometimes. I feel that running, exercise, going up and down stairs all exaggerates it and causes pain. Should I be worried, is it possible I could have fractured a bone in my neck? A silly question sorry.
