Hi, my 7 year old daughter hit her head hard against a brick wall at school about a month and a half ago. It was caused by a ball first hitting the other side of her head and the other side got thrown against the side of a brick wall. So, the school called me up and I brought her to the hospital. She cried all the way to the hospital. The doctor said he did not see any signs of fracture, although there was a lot of bruising. He glued the bulging wound, he explained it was round and bulging because it was fairly deep, so the skin gives a little bit. there was quite a bit of glue, that was clearly mixed in the hair. I figured this was okay to help keep it together. I avoided to much water for her for a good couple of few weeks-just baths couple times a week while healing. It took the scab a month to fall off, and now there is a bald spot around the scar. It s been about a week and a half since the scab came off and I don t notice any new hair growth on that spot. I feel desperate for that hair to grow back. Have you heard about this happening before? I saw a doctor just a couple of days before the scab feel off, and he said it looked completely healed-just had to use more shampoo for a few days, and it certainly did come off. Can it just take a while to grow/?
