hi,
Congratulations for taking a right step towards "getting out" of this habit. As you now these are highly dangerous and becomes life threatening if continued upon.

You have to take much bolder steps now, by talking to your parents or guardians about your habit and asking their support to help you to remain abstinent.

I will try to tell you some common techniques to control craving/ urge to sniff-

Craving often arise when you memory of sniffing gets activated by different clues like being in the lonely place, place where you sniff, or seeing marjkers. Try to avoid remaining alone in these situations.

Sometimes you get confused by body signals may make you remember sniffing and increase the urge. You need to identify thirst, hunger, anger, loneliness or tiredness which are present when you feel urge. Act accordingly by
*drinking water or juice
*eating food
*Keeping calm by physical and breathing exercises
*spending time with family and friends (non smokers)
*taking rest and maintaining peaceful environment
*get involved in your favourite hobbies especially during peak hours when you used to involve with the Sharpies.

craving is always is like a wave.. it will come, raise and fall... so surf over it.. just postpone your urge for sometime and get involved in other interesting activities.

Some of the behavioural and emotional problems you are facing in controlling sniffing could be resolved with use of medicines, please consult a nearby psychiatrist for that.

Your motivation to change your self is the first and foremost thing needed, which must persist through out. Then I am sure that you will come out of this loop. All the best.
