How To Get Through Closed Cervix To Do Biopsy Of The Uterus?

I have a closed cervix and my doctor was unable to get through to do a biopsy of my uterus. She is requesting me to go to the hospital for a D&C. We have tried softening the cervix with medication and then numbing an fusing more force with no luck. I had a abnormal pap result. I have never given birth and I am 47.

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some problem with cervix like erosion or hard cervix as you have history of abnormal pap test.
In such case D&C is proper procedure to dilate cervix and go for biopsy after curetting.
Ok and take care.
