Hello,

As you have swelling use hot water fermentation and a compression bandage to reduce the swelling. This is an issue with the venous return. Please check your blood sugar levels at regular intervals and have medicine at proper timings.

Some of the time people don't monitor their blood sugar levels and don't even change the medicine and that might lead to malfunction of the medications. Having a keen eye over it will help.

Having pain in the lower back can be due to the weakness of muscles. Using hot water fermentation and doing simple low-intensity core exercises and spinal muscle strengthening exercises will help ease the pain.

Do the lower limb exercises as a whole along with the core and back exercise. This will help reduce the back pain and also make the legs stronger.

This exercise will even help improve muscle strength and reduce pain due to OA.

If needed you can contact an orthopedic physiotherapist who can teach you exercise which you can perform at home.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
