Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Sudafed( Pseudoephedrin) is used for symptomatic relief of blocked nose and thereby pain of sinus infection by decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane. More effective as nasal drops.

It is not habit forming drug but not to exceed the recommended daily dose(Not to exceed 4 doses/day-oral or nasal drops).

Excessive use may cause systemic effects (eg, nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness)and transient hypertension.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
