How To Get Rid Of Itchy Welt Like Rashes?

I have got shiitake dermatitis. I am in Australia and the only thing the doctor told me to do was take antihistamines. These DO NOT WORK as it is a toxic reaction. My whole entire body including neck, hairline, arms, legs, back, stomach, and groin is covered in welt like rashes. It is incredibly itchy and getting worse, one week later. What can I do do reduce this?

Hi.
As per your case-history of shiitake dermatitis i will like to advice-
1. You may increase dose of anti-histaminics
2. Add more potent anti-histaminic like chlorpheniramine or hydroxyzine
3. Topical cortico-steroid like betamethasone dipropionate 0.05% twice daily can be used.
4. Short course oral steroid for 6-7 days in case of severe reaction.

Thanks.
