How To Get Rid Of Irritating Rash Around Waistline And Legs?

I have a rash around my waistline and just down my legs. I am a female age 49 . It s been about two weeks. It flares up somedays worse than others. They are small defined circles that are redder around the edges. It dries up, but keeps returning. I wouldn t say they itch, just irritating.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of fungal infection judging from the way you describe it...Scaly and itchy rings. The sites like waist, groin, inner thighs are prone to fungal infection

If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a topical antifungal like clotrimazole/sertaconazole/luliconazole cream, twice daily, regularly for 4 weeks.

An Oral antifungal e.g fluconazole once weekly for4 -6 weeks OR oral terbinafine once daily for 2-4 weeks OR Itraconazole 100mg capsule, 2 capsules once daily for a week, is also advisable for a more complete cure

An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg once daily would help you in symptomatic itch relief.

regards
