How To Get Rid Of Heartburn After Eating Pecans?

I am having severe heartburn after eating pecans and have tried everything to get rid of it. It feels as if someone is stabbing me in my middle chest and radiates in my back. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it. It has been going on for over an hour

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain severe heartburn along with stabbing feeling at the middle of chest that radiates to back seems go be probably due to Gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as Acid reflux in general terms..

Well, all these symptoms are indicative of acid reflux and it leads to regurgitation of acid and food particles from stomach to food pipe and throat causing inflammation of food pipe and throat mucosas and leads to severe burning and pain

I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like upper G.I Endoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take Proton Pump Inhibitors like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole..
Take antacids like Milk of magnesia half an hour before meals..
Avoid spicy and acidic food and drink plenty of water..
You should eat more of probiotics like Yoghurt in diet..
Avoid large meals and take small portions of food every 2 hours..
Always take walk after meals and take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleep..
You should sleep with head slightly raised as compared to feet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
