How To Get Rid Of Cough And Blocked Ears?

I have had a cough and blocked ears for 3 months now, 5 lots of anti biotics, and 5 different doctors, chest xray clear. It was a lot worse than I am at the moment, but every day I have to cough up gunk from the top of my throat, for about half an hour, after this I am Ok but do a lot of throat clearing. I have tried variously giving up alcohol, salt, coffee, dairy, gluten, for periods of time, but nothing has finally got rid of it. I also have an itchy anus, I have wormed myself to no avail.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Since your symptoms are not improving with routine drugs, possibility of allergic airway disease (AAD) is more.
This is newer term explaining cough, ear problem due to allergy. So better to get done eosinophil count and serum total IgE level.
If these are raised than possibility of allergy is more for your chronic symptoms.
You may need combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
