Hi.. Regular self breast examination, mamographic studies are done to check for the presence of a lump in the breast.. Presence of any new lump may need biopsy.. Biopsy and microscopic studies help in diagnosing breast cancers.. Also read about the other symptoms of breast cancer (apart from the lump), which include bloody discharge from the nipple, puckering of the skin over the breast and so on..
