How to find extent of arterial venous malformations in fetus?

mt ten week old baby had a ultrasound the other day and the finding on the scac state ' the lesion in the subcutaneous tissue right lower abdomen/groin is vascular with arterial and venous flow measuring 1x1.2x 0.4. it appearances would favour arterial venous malformation" i know you cant say for sure but want are her chances of having more avm in her body?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
I reviewed facts of your query in context to your health issues.
My Opinion-
In My opinion, in the given situation your baby needs to be screened with CT brain and CT abdomen-to fix accompanied.
Other common sites are spinal AVMs etc, which would need Consults with Vascular /Neuro-Surgeon.
Combination of familial history-as its genetic in most cases/ CT,MRI(Magnetic Rensonance Imaging), MRA(MR Angiography) of the affected part/ brain/ spines/ chest /abdomen and extremities-as needed in consultation with Specialist doctors would figure out exact other locations of AVMs in your baby.


Do's Suggested-
Take these AVMs as chance of Brain/ Spine / Upper GI Avms are more and need to be treated asap, in consultation with attending physician/paediatrician and other specialities.


Next appointment-
After 2 weeks to review treatment for existing stomach problem .
