Hi ms.lee chan;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
To know that fallopian tubes of a female is blocked there are 2 methods:-
1-To do a HSG(Hysterosalphingography) that is to insert a dye through a canula in the uterus and when the dye is pushed X-ray is taken to see if the dye is coming out of the tubes ;it is done in a X-ray dept of a pathology.
2-To do a Laparoscopy from above that is abdomen and from vagina again a canula is inserted and dye is pushed and it can be directly seen by a doctor whether the dye is coming out of the tubes
These test prove whether the tubes are open or closed and most of the time the tubes get opened when the dye is pushed if there is a simple block in it .For details regarding the treatment with or without surgery please discuss with your doctor.

My wife was detected with ectopic pregnancy in February, 2012. The doctor who did her surgery said neither tubes were damaged during the surgery. Today we did a HSG and the report says bilateral tubal block with minimal localised spillage. Does this mean her tubes are damaged and she cannot have a normal issue?
Hi, I had my HSG test on 14th June and today is 16th June. I still have bleeding and minor abdomen pain, is it normal? previously I had my laparoscopy and report showed that both my fallopian tubes are blocked but now after HSG test, it showed that both my tubes are open. I am confused, can you please help.
Hi, I was given this report from a HSG test. Could you please tell me what this means? etro flexed uterine cavity, normal patency and contrast spill into the peritoneum left was demonstrated, faint whisp of contrast was seen in the proximal right fallopian tube. Contrast was not confidently identified beyond this. No definite contrast spill was seen on the right side of the pelvic perenial cavity.Left fallopian tube faint contrast line outlining the proximal right fallopian tube was seen but no contrast opacifleation beyond this. No definite spill of contrast into the peritoneum on the right side was demonstrated and therefore right tubal patency cannot be confirmed
