How To Determine The Date Of Conception?

so on december 8th i was 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant before i started dating my boyfriend on the 26th of october i had intercourse with a different man before that. i read online that it takes 6-12 days after intercourse to get pregnant ? is that true ?

Hi,

It is difficult to precisely say what date you could have conceived. Provided the cycle is normal with 28 days, the ovulation would take place around 13th day. In case fertilization happens by this day (or a couple of days after ovulation), it takes about a week to ten days for the fertilized ovum to get implanted. You need to consider last menstrual period (LMP) for calculation of gestational age. Also, roughly you can know when you could have conceived by means of ultrasound scan, but that also could vary by +/- 1 week.
