How To Determine The Baby's Gender From An Ultrasound?

I had my first ultrasound yesterday. How do I read the screen while the ultrasound is occuring? Will the final report give me a spelled out gender of the baby (male/female) or will it be determined by a code at the top of the ultrasound report such as B or G?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.It all depends on where you are asking from.
2.In India its prohibited / crime asking and telling the sex of the baby.
3.If you belong to other countries - generally the sinologist / radiologist will help you with the determination from 15 weeks of pregnancy.
4.Normally they don't mention in the report, i have not came across.
5.Its just for information shared with pregnant women.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
