How To Determine Implantation Spotting?

7 june was my due date and i missed my period. I had problems of irregular periods from long. But in may it was regular and lasted for three days. I dint had sex in previous month but i got physical on 10 june and on 13 june i had some bright color spotting( for one day only) was that implantation spotting i had? Spotting is the only symptom i am having. I heard implantation bleeding occurs after 6-12 days of conception. Besides that i hv irregular periods and a month ago i recovered from hypothyriodism. Is there any chance that i am pergnant?

Hello,

It is only possible to confirm implantation bleeding retrospectively after confirming pregnancy. Since you already missed your period, pregnancy is an important consideration. So, please be advised to take a home pregnancy test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
