How To Cure The Loosing Voice For A Person Who Underwent Leucoplakia?

Hi Twicw I have surgically removed leucoplakia on my right vocal cord ( had them analysed but no malignant cells found ) and the reason was severe reflux , which I treated , and now after 3 years from my second sugery I am loosing my voice and just have this feeling my cords are banging on each other again . but not all day long . I was exposed 2 weeks ago to chemical fumes ( cyano acrilate glue ) for a few seconds and 24 hours later had the symptoms appear . I drink a lot of water , but should I inhave water vapor ? By the way I put on 7 kg after I had lost them , I raised my bed etc.....

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thank for your query.
Noted your history of surgery for leucolplakia of vocal cords, loosing voice, exposure to chemical fumes of cyano acrylate glue and acid reflux.
Since such a problem can be diagnosed by the laryngoscopy alone, it would be highly advisable that you consult an ENT first to get a laryngoscopy done and get an appropriate diagnosis to get a proper plan of treatment.
Drinking too much water will not help as it does not reach the vocal cords.
Steam inhalations can cause thermal injury hence do not so this unless advised by your ENT.
I would further advise you to give voice a strict voice rest.

I find this answer helpful
