Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
Throat infections are associated with body pain and joint pain. If you get a fever along with this and last 3 days then routine blood tests and platelet count should be done. For places where swine flu cases are reported we usually do a throat swab for those who having characteristic respiratory symptoms. Also we give tamiflu for seven days. For just throat infection you should get proper rest take enough fluids and rest. Warm chicken soup tea with lemon and vitamin c is helpful. If there is any serious bacterial infection then antibiotics are advised. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
