My 28-yr-old youngest son, who has been living with me since having a breakdown at 18, is now on warfarin (coumadin) for blood clotting that happened last summer, due to total bed rest after an injury to the back of his tendon area during a basketball game. The pain was so severe, we took him to the emergency room. He was tested, rushed into surgery for clots in his lungs, and given a filter through his groin. He has also been found to have a genetic factor 5 condition, which, I found out, does run in the males on his father s side, who died of a stroke (and was an alcoholic for years). A psychiatrist did give my son a diagnosis of PTSD, borderline bipolar, and depression. He also has a reverse sleep cycle, with very low energy, and is unable to hold down a steady job (he had episodes at ones he had). He had some head trauma when younger, once sliding off the back of a Volvo trunk in his baby carry-seat, requiring stitches to his frontal lobe area. Anyway, some friends have gotten him into smoking street weed. He drinks beer-type drinks, and diet sodas, as well.
