How To Cure Sharp Pain In Stomach And Loose Bowel Movement?
I have pains on the left side of my stomache mostly the upper half. Sometimes they feel like a sharp stabbing feeling. Also, everything after I eat, like right after, I have to go to the restroom to have a bowel movement. The movements are loose and happen at least 2 more times in an hour. Can you tell me if I should go visit a doctor? and What may be wrong with me?

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Malik's Response
Hello,
You definitely need to visit your doctor to properly get your condition diagnosed and treated accordingly. Loose bowel movements (diarrhea) right after having meals is called postprandial diarrhea.
In order to accurately diagnose the condition your current medications should be reviewed and your doctor may order stool tests (for occult blood, leukocytes, test for ova and parasites and/or sudan stain) and/or imaging tests after initial medical examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Malik
