How To Cure Pain On Right Back Of The Tongue?

I have had pain on the right, back of my tongue for the last two days. It hurts to eat or swallow on that side. It looks slightly white with a little bump. The main change in my diet over the last few weeks are salads with romaine lettuce, beets, blue cheese, craisins (cranberry raisins), mushrooms, tomatoes, and almonds. Could this be causing it, such as excess acid or what could be causing it? Thx

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems to be an apthous ulcer and in case if you take more of citrus and acidic foods it can be a cause for apthous ulcers..

Nothing to worry as it is self resoluting and will resolve soon..

As a supportive treatment you can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the ulcer..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen for pain relief..
Do soda bi-carb gargles.
Limit the intake of citrus foods..
Avoid spicy and hot food and take a soft bland diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
