This is reg my mother who is 66 years old & suffering from osteo arthritis. I hv taken her to doctor CJ Thakkar (Leelavati) who presribed medines like jointac & other vit medicines for a month as he said surgery was not required yet.She has taken them but there is no improvement yet. She had also taken free flex forte earlier.Kindly advise
hi The medicines prescribed may be continued for a period of 3 months to show effects, if it doesnt in 3 months, your doctor may consider infilteration of cortisone or hyaluronic acid locally into the joint and may like to add celeberex tabs or any NSAIDS. As of now, I may suggest to add paracetamol tabs, physical tharapy,fomentation and continuance of jointace for 3 months if mild to moderate pain. if pain severe celeberex can be added right now regards
