My mom has had a nose bleed and been to an emergency room four times now. They cauterized, did not work, packed, did not work, cauterized other side, did not last. Her blood pressure was 206 /80 at one point. She takes bp meds. How long does she need to not bleed before a plane ride would be okay. She is 80 yo

I don't consider that the duration has much significant.
If you were my patient, I would suggest you to control her blood pressure first. that would be only thing of my concern.
definitely during bleed other things like pinching nose, coagulant drops etc should be tried. .
