How to cure lumps in calf after taking Tetanus for dog bite?
I was bitten by a friends dog about 2 weeks ago. Went right to the Doctor got a tetanus shot and an anitbiotic shot and a RX for anitbiotics for 10 days. It did not need stitches.. It is healing fairly ok ... but there are lumps in my calf muscle where the dog had my calf in his leg... what is causing those lumps
Hi..those lumps are areas of fibrosis which are a normal healing process of the body. You need not worry about them as they will heal by themselves after few months. But there is something even more important than that - As you have not mentioned about anti-rabies vaccine, I assume that you have not got the shots. I suggest you to approach your physician and get them immediately. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
hi... for dog bite you need vaccination against rabies than antibiotics. you need to vaccinate for that. if wound edges were apart, sometimes heals by scar and some induration. nothing much to worry about that.
if you agree with my suggestions kindly rate me.
