How To Cure Gastritis ?

My 10 yr old almost 11yr old daughter has been complaining of having stomach pain. She says it comes and goes. When we went to the doctor she was asked where exactly does your belly hurt. My daughter said all over and then pointed to the area above her belly button saying it hurt most there. The Dr. pressed on it and said it was gastritis from eating too many acidic foods. My questions is what foods are ok and what foods are not good to eat if you are having this problem?li

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM
Present social dietary habits are quite different .
Now Days children do like fast / junk food available in plenty with in the vicinity of the child. Bland home made meals to be preferred, fruits to be preferred in place of junk food.
We parents also quite responsible for such type of children eating habits.
PPI drugs like lansoperazole to 4 to six weeks to be given for such type of gastritis.
He should also be investigated in terms of Whole abdomen ultrasound. LFT.ESR etc to rule any pathology in the abdomen.
