How To Cure Cough,enlarged Adam's Apple And Foul Odour ?
Hi there, I have a question regarding my dad...
He has been coughing for about 2 years - almost non-stop, and his adam's apple is huge and stinks, he went to the doctors because he thought maybe it was filled with puss because it smelled to bad, so the Dr. poked it with a needle but nothing came out. He went for an ultrasound of his adam's apple/throat last week. What could this be ? Also, he is a very heavy smoker. Im just worried that it might be cancer... His father passed away from lung cancer, which then spread everywhere...

chronic cough for 2 years to be ruled out for TUBERCULOSIS and CHRONIC BRONCHITIS.
and there r also chances for chronic laryngitis.
enlarged Adam's apple may be due to anterior displacement of thyroid cartilage of larynx , poking it reveals nothing .
he needs endoscopic examination of his larynx to rule out ENT causes .
chronic cough and smoking history warns about carcinoma larynx or hypopharynx ( if he has associated difficulty in swallowing or hoarseness of voice )
