How To Cure Bump And Severe Pain In Right Forearm?

Hi my name is Linda and I ve been feeling a great deal of pain for more than 5 hours now in my right forearm. I have a protrusion that is about the size of a quarter around and as high as a piece of plain paper folded in sixth. When I extend my arm I feel pain and pressure on the lower half of my forearm. When I feel on the bump, I feel that it is almost divided in half. It s not the first time I ve had pain in my right forearm or that I ve noticed this bump. I ve always thought it was just my vein dialating because I am a pretty mascular girl. The pain comes and goes and I m trying to make a doctor s appointment soon, I know you can t really give me a diagnosis on exactly what it could be, but at least give me an idea please and thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

As per your history it looks swelling of soft tissue which can be venous clot or benign swelling in forearm.
As swelling is not reducing I will advise you to further investigate for the cause of swelling.
I will advise you to do MRI and Ultrasound of the swelling.
If its collection or benign mass it can be excised.
So you may need blood investigation.
Till time you can take anti-inflammatory and antibiotic if infection is suspected.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
