How to cure a red swollen patch next to the right ear?

Theres a small red swollen patch next to my right ear. I just noticed this today so i think i got it recently. It doesn't hurt or itch, but if i push on it i don't feel any pressure, almost as if it's hollow. I don't have any severe medical issues, 17 years old, about 160 pounds, 6 feet tall.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The patch may be due to ear infection, any abscess, mastoid bone inflammation, cystic acne, epidermoid cysts or a swollen lymph node behind the ear caused by the infection. You need to consult your ENT, if it is painful and progressively enlarging for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
