Hi I have a sore knot on the left side of my throat the pain is affecting ear and it also feels like its something swollen and scratchy in there. I have been coughing, sneezing, and tearing up. But nothing compares to the bad episode where it felt like my throat is on fire. Can someone tell me if I should see a ENT because none of these allergy pills have been working

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis which is an infection of the tonsils.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest using a throat spray for antibacterial properties.
If the symptoms continue,I suggest to see an ENT specialist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
