How To Cure A Bump On The Back Of Leg Right Below Gluteus Maximus?

I have a very small bump on the back of my leg right below my gluteus maximus. It seems to be an open pore and when I squeeze it like you would to pop a pimple, a white stringy discharge comes out. It has a little bit of a smell to it. It s been there for years now and am wondering what it might be.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to folliculitis.

For that you can apply neosporin powder over it locally.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

In case of abscess you may require antibiotics after consultation

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
