How To Cure Irritated (enlarged) Circumvallate Papillae?

I quit smoking 5 months ago. Since I have what I believe to be irritated (enlarged) circumvallate papillae. The tongue has a general white color to it. Darker white toward the back of the tongue, and then fades to pink as it gets closer to the front. The bottom of the tongue looks normal. I have a general build of food on the tongue throughout the day, which I can scrape off with a tongue scraper. How do I get my tongue to return to a nice pink color?

It is leucoplakia likely which is localized. It's good that you have quit smoking. please never restart. It is also possible that you may have anemia and tongue looks pallor. For pink tongue consult ENT surgeon( otorhenologist). He might correct anemia through hematinics. If lecuoplakia he is the best guide to suggest you that it is reversible or irreversible and what are the consequences and care to be taken.
