How To Cure Aneurysm In Aorta?

hi there, i am asking on behalf of my 82 year old dad who has aneurysm in his aorta just slightly above the stomach. Anyhow, recently it has increased frm 4cm to 4.5cm within the last year. He is now very worried and is looking into supplements. He is looking into a LIve Well prodect called Mecomin which apparently contains vit B12 which can help. But i have also heard of 4LifeTransfer Factor Advance, and people say that it can also help. Is it safe for my dad to take it? Please advise, thank you

Hello,

Thank you for writing to HCM about your query,

Brief Answer -

Explained Answer -
There are two main types of treatment for an aneurysm:

1. preventative treatment, where an aneurysm is treated to prevent it from rupturing.
2. emergency treatment, where an aneurysm is repaired after rupturing.

If surgery is not done to repair your aneurysm, you will have regular tests to see if it is getting bigger.

Smaller aneurysms (less than 5.5 cm in diameter) that are not at high risk for rupturing are typically treated with medicine used to treat high blood pressure, such as a beta-blocker.

Beta-blockers may decrease the rate at which aneurysms grow.

In general, the risks of surgery to repair smaller aneurysms outweigh the possible benefits, because smaller aneurysms rarely rupture.

You may need to take medicine to treat high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

These measures have not been proved to slow aneurysm growth, but they can improve your life in other ways.

These measures reduce your risk of dying from heart attack and stroke.

Hope You will find it out helpful.

Thanks And Regards,
Dr. Gaurav Prajapati
