How To Control High Sugar Levels?

Hi, My mother in law is a diabetic patient and her sugar levels are quite high..fasting 200 and after food its 300. She has got a dental problem where in a tooth has to be removed.Doctor has prescribed antibiotics however says her sugar level has to be in control for removal. Now the diabetic doctor says her dental infection is contributing to her high sugar levels and that she has to get it removed. We dont know what to do and how to proceed. Your advice and suggestion are very valuable. Please reply to me at YYYY@YYYY

Dear sir I understand your concern.
I am sorry to hear you have been having difficulties getting your blood sugar in the normal range now. I am very happy you are this conscientious because having a well controlled blood sugar is very important in preventing the onset of diabetic complications.
In my opinion what your doctor said is correct,if infection is there sugars will increase.
But the question i am not able to get why doctor is not able to control infection with antibiotics.
i need to have some more information to assist you better.
1.what is age of patient
2.duration of diabetes
3. currently what medication she is on
4.since how days she is having infection
