Hi Dr.
I have gone for a check up and I am diagnozed as diebetic.
My Fasting Sugar has came 215 and post Meal as 275
I have consulted to doctoar and started the Glycomet GP-1 once a day.

Its a month now, but I don't see any improvement in the sugar levels.
On an average it is coming as Fasting 170-180 , PP-230-275.

Also I have high cholestrol and triglyceride as 315. for that also I am taking medicine .

My Question is should I increase the dose of Glycomet GP-1 from once a day to 2 times in a day.

Can you please advice.

Thanks
Manish

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
You can definitely increase the dose of GLYCOMET GP -1 from once a day to twice a day.
See the response after 2 weeks. If it still uncontrolled you can start taking 1-1/2 tablet twice a day.
If your lipid levels are not controlled with blood sugar control, then a statin like ATORVASTATIN can be added.
Do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day and take proper dietary control measures.
Thanks
