How To Control BP?

hi
i am suffering from hypertension for last 15 years I am aged 68 now. As prescribed by my doctor I have been taking betacard 25 ml and amla guard 5 ml daily once before I GO TO BED .EVEN AFTER TAKING THE MEDICINE my b.p is 90 -140 range. pl.let me know whether I have changa the medicine/dose to control my B.P

Thanks for writing to HCM.
For age of 68 years, the target BP is 150/90 mmHg. Hence the readings are within normal range. There is no need to increase the medication. You can further get it down by life style modifications like weight control, decrease salt intake, daily exercise, meditation etc.
