How To Continue Taking Abilify Morning Dosage While Taking In The Evenings?

hi i changed my abilify intake to the evening before bed instead of in the mornings when i woke up bc it made me sleepy, but then after a few hours t made my have insomnia and i want to switch it back to taking it in the morning. How do i do that ? Do i skip a day and take it in the morning the next day?

Hi,
I would have not advised my patient to skip the dose. Skipping the dose is not necessary. I would have asked my patient to space the evening and morning dose by 10-12 hours. You can achieve this by taking the morning dose on the first day of switch over a bit late.
Medications like abilify (aripiprazole) has to be taken as prescribed. Compliance becomes an important issue in such medications. Do discuss with your care provider before making any decisions on regimens.
